Who are you guys?

We're a multi-cultural staff, tech savvy, intelligent and highly-attuned to SEO, Social Media Marketing, Graphic Design, Animation, Mobile Marketing, Face-to-Face Marketing & Communications and Daily Deal best practices.  GoBabu has collected talent from all corners of the reputable internet marketing industry; making our work environment fun,   vibrant, and results-oriented.  

Our goal is to look beyond the traditional daily deal business model and offer more value to both our merchants and members through sharing valuable local deals and event information.  On average we serve 50-93% Toronto deals of the day as well as other affordable internet services; matchless to our competitors.

The organization was founded by Khurram Shroff, the youngest University of Indianapolis graduate to finish a bachelors BA at age of 19.  Ultimately, we are all social creatures at heart and all of us at GoBabu believe that our online experiences should reflect these offline social experiences; therefore, we're weaving every single social tool on the web into everything we do -- while also having a lot of fun along the way!

What exactly do you do on GoBabu?

Each day we email Toronto locals a hot deal with unbeatable prices giving Toronto locals a chance to save thousands of dollars annually through the daily deals we offer: Guaranteed! Of course, some deals are better than others; however, we like to think of it as more than offering "daily deals" but more towards social experiences with loved ones to our members.

North Americans are interested in other cultures, while at the same time, the ethnic youth loses touch of their own culture -- we believe GoBabu can help stimulate both the old and new generation into experiencing new cultural perspectives -- especially in Toronto. 

If one of our local daily deals piques your interest, share it with your loved ones through twitter and Facebook and create new experiences. Eat exotic food. Go to an Asian film festival.  Visit an interesting multi-cultural Art Expo and save money while doing so!  We make the expensive, inexpensive. 

Every deal has a tipping point - or a minimum number of people that must buy the offer before the deal ends, so it's important for us to connect with like-minded people to help share our offer.  We feature cheap deals on local spas, salons, restaurants, gyms, adventure activities, event tickets, and some off-the-wall experiences they'll never forget!

Why is there a tipping point for every deal?

We guarantee local businesses a minimum number of buyers so they feel more comfortable giving huge discounts. We're expanding their price-quantity quotient since we're organizing buyer strength in numbers.

Only one deal per day in each city?

For now, yes. Down the road we aim to aggregate multiple deals per day from popular categories.  At the moment, we highlight one business exclusive positioning for the day on our homepage with active deals available on our "Active Deals" page.

We're working hard to ensure there's enough variety day-in and day-out so there's something valuable for our members.  If you're strapped for cash and want to give your brother, sister, mother, father, or someone who you "tolerate" like your ex-gf -- buy them a GoBabu Deal of the Day. 

I have to tell my friends so I can get the deal?

It's up to you, but remember: you only get the deal if enough people "buy" any active daily deal on GoBabu. It's risk-free in the sense that you don't get charged and don't get the deal voucher unless the daily deal tips. The more you share, the higher likely it is you get the daily deal.

So I have to buy online?

Yes you do. You purchase the GoBabu deal of the day with a Credit Card or PayPal account -- all transactions are made through our secure payment gateway.  We also want to make sure that all information is kept in private and will not be sold to third-party entities.  The last thing we want is for our members to see an extra-charge on their credit card or see spam in their inbox.

Am I charged right away?

No.  Once you are a GoBabu member and subscribe to our email list, enter your credit card information through our secure payment gateway right away.  You will never see a payment if  the deal doesn't tip. We authorize your card just like a hotel. Once the deal tips you get charged and you are sent a receipt. If the deal fails to tip, the credit card authorization is cancelled and you are not charged.

Can I return a purchase?

We handle all refund enquiries. In short: if a business closes before the deal expires, we'll refund you. If you bought a daily deal on our website that let you down big-time then get in touch with us and we'll refund you shortly after a fair investigation.

How can I get GoBabu in my city?

Get in touch with us and suggest your city.  If there's enough interest and it's not too far off our roadmap then we'll look to move GoBabu your way.

How do I get my business on GoBabu?

What if the deal terms are different than your FAQs?

The terms in the deal fine print will always supercede anything you read in our FAQs.

When do I get my voucher?

We'll send you a link to print your GoBabu.com voucher the next business day after your daily deal closes.

How do I redeem?

Print the voucher, go to the local business, and redeem your daily deal voucher with the local business. 

Can I use my voucher only on the deal day?

No.  You won't get your voucher until the next business day after the deal day.  Most daily deals have a long-expirey period (usually 9 months) so you'll definitley have a comfortable time period between purchase and print to redeem your voucher. Check the fine print so you don't miss out.

Can I "gift" the voucher?

You can. You can buy the voucher for someone else through our site, or print it and share GoBabu with your loved ones.

Does it matter whose name is on the voucher?

Nope. The local merchant will redeem the voucher for the bearer - so don't lose it!

Can I split the value of the voucher across several visits?

Generally, no. That is up to the local merchant. Our terms say that the value must be used in one visit.

Can I use this voucher with other offers?

No. The voucher can't be combined with other deals or offers.

Does the voucher include service charge, municipality fees, taxes, and tip?

Nope. Restaurant-Specific Certificates cannot be used for taxes, tips or prior balances, unless permitted by the local merchant. With that being said, if the daily deal fine print says that tax is included, then it's included.

Can I use my voucher with my friends who bought it too?

For sure. Keep in mind that restaurant vouchers are 1 voucher for every 2 people. Just make sure that if you're going in a big group to book in advance and read the daily deal fine print to make sure you and the merchant both end up with a great experience.

Can I pay with something other than a credit card?

Yup. You create and use a PayPal account.  In the future, GoBabu is looking to add other payments as well to make it easier for all of our members who may not have a Credit Card  purchase amazing local daily discounts with confidence.

However, the GoBabu Credit Card Gateway and online eCommerce system we use is the best money can buy.  Our staff uses it.  Our family uses GoBabu.  So, there's really no reason not to whip out your card and start nabbing!

How can I get paid for spreading the word about the Daily Deal on GoBabu?

Refer your friends using your personalized referral link. If they use your link and register within 72-hours, then we’ll slide you money into your account for you to spend after they make their first purchase.

So if my friend registered, but didn’t buy yet I am out of luck if the buy later?

If they register within 72 hours but don’t buy a deal until days later, you still get the $10.

What if the person isn’t my actual friend?

We won’t know if they're your friend, former friend, acquaintance, or whatever. No one is checking, so invite whomever you want…But don’t be a spammer. No one likes a spammer.

What’s the cap on the number of new people I can refer?

Your imagination.

What if I get a bunch of referral daily deal links from a few different people? Does everyone get the money?

Big nope. The last link you click before making your first purchase is the one who gets the reward. Choose wisely young Jedi.
